The 2018 decision by DHS staff to move the Homecoming dance off campus to the Lincolnshire Marriott Resort has proven to be a good one. Last year, 997 students attended — setting a record! With such great momentum, this year’s goal of meeting or exceeding 2018 attendance is in reach.
“Our highest past student attendance was about 700, but many students would stay for 30 minutes and leave,” said Student Activities Director Brian Verisario. “Since implementing extended times for the dance, the students are really enjoying themselves, and the word is getting out that it’s really a fun night.”
DHS’s “Welcome to the Oscars” Homecoming Dance is Saturday, October 5.
