Our local community coalition is looking for a part-time coordinator to help organize and implement drug prevention activities in the communities of Bannockburn, Deerfield, Highland Park, Highwood and Riverwoods, Illinois.
About us: Community – The Anti-Drug (CTAD) Coalition is a 501(c)3 nonprofit consisting of volunteers from 30+ community organizations who work together to create an environment in which youth feel protected, confident and empowered to make drug-free choices. About the role:
This position has a flexible, part-time schedule with the possibility of some remote work.
- Organize: Coordinate CTAD activities such as tables at community events, developing resources, implementing an annual awareness campaign, volunteer recognition, workshops/webinars, community assessment, and strategic planning.
- Collaborate: Assist Executive Director, Board of Directors, Delta Youth Advisory Board, committees and other volunteers with tasks including event logistics, facilitating communication, providing resources and maintaining records to track progress.
- Communicate: Assist with development of educational materials, website, social media posts, email correspondence and meeting reminders.
- Evaluate: Conduct community assessment through online surveys, event evaluations, key stakeholder interviews and informal focus groups.
About you:
- Passionate about keeping teens alcohol and drug-free.
- Ability to provide leadership, network, build diverse relationships and motivate volunteers.
- Excellent verbal, written and communication skills.
- Experience working with non-profit(s) or in human services field.
- Bachelor’s degree.
