Support is a Call or Text Away
Even though teens don’t have the usual access to school counselors, social workers, coaches and teachers, there are many ways teens can still connect if they are struggling with an issue, concerned about a friend or just need someone to talk to:
School Tip Lines — District 113, District 112 and District 109 offer students dedicated tip lines to address many student concerns. The school staff monitors these lines regularly.
Text-A-Tip provides anonymous support 24/7 for students who need help for themselves or a friend. Download the app “Lake County Help” or simply Text 224HELP to 844-823-LEAD (5323) to connect with a trained counselor.
Parents and students are always encouraged to first reach out to school counselors, your family doctor or other trusted adults.
